The Library folder of a Knowledge reporting point includes these items:

  • Diary - In Studio, the Library folder of a Knowledge reporting point automatically includes a diary, which doesn’t require configuring. Authorized staff use the diary in AVEVA™ Production Management to manually add Knowledge records. See About Knowledge diary.

  • Document links - In Studio, the Library folder of a Knowledge reporting point doesn’t automatically contain document links. You can add document links to the Library folder so that AVEVA™ Production Management users can display the documents. See About Knowledge documents.

What can you use diary and documents for?

Some possible uses of the diary and documents include:

  • Operators can log their observations of incidents that affect production.

  • Business managers can study firsthand accounts of incidents that staff observe, including incidents that other modules don’t automatically record.

  • Maintenance crews can record notes for operators, supervisors, and managers.

  • Quality Assurance managers can make operating procedures available to staff, and then use the diary to monitor the use of procedures.

  • Staff can immediately find schematics, diagrams, procedures, and instructions that are relevant to their areas.

  • Staff can refer to historical records for previously successful solutions to problems.
