Start Service Manager

Server must be connected to a SQL Server before it performs any functions, such as retrieve data from a SCADA system or an OLE-DB database, and before a client can connect to the service.
Open Service Manager

On the Windows Start menu, under the AVEVA folder, select Production Management Service Manager.
The Service Manager opens, but the service has not started yet.
Start the service

In Service Manager, select the name of the SQL server that contains the configuration database.

Select an existing project, or create a new project.

Click Start Service. The status of the service is shown at the bottom left of the screen.
When server starts, the AVEVA Production Management configuration project, and the items in that project start automatically. If any items are configured to perform actions, those actions automatically start.
