History recovery for on-premises data

The AVEVA Events to CONNECT agent supports recovering data using the HistoryOnly data collection mode setting in the agent's Configurator plugin. By default, the DataCollectionMode value is set to CurrentWithBackfill. When there are connection disruptions, data source issues, or agent shutdowns, the agent automatically fills in data gaps for up to four days.
If you need to recover and upload on-premises data beyond four days to the CONNECT data services, use the history recovery tool that comes with AVEVA Production Management. To perform history data recovery, complete these two tasks:

Error logs
Issues that the history recovery tool encounters during the recovery process are logged in a file named HistoryRecovery_<YYYYMMDD>.txt. You can find this file in <ProductionManagementInstallPath>\DataCurator\Logs.
