Version 8.3.0 (Android and iOS)

Note: Upgrade from earlier versions is not supported in this version. To avoid issues, uninstall the earlier version before installing this version.

Enhancements

  • The App now uses a modern application framework, improving platform compatibility and maintainability.

  • On Android devices:

    • Camera is now an optional feature, supporting devices without camera hardware.

    • Using the Back button now hides the application instead of exiting it.

Known issues

  • Due to a limitation in the barcode scanning library, repeatedly opening and closing the QR code scanner on iOS may cause the application to close unexpectedly.

  • Support for deploying the Work Tasks Pro Android app through Microsoft Intune.

Note: To ensure push notifications work properly after upgrading the AVEVA Work Tasks Pro app, log out and log back in. If notifications still don't appear, restart your device and/or uninstall and reinstall the app.

Resolved issues

  • Migrated the legacy FCM APIs to the FCM v1 APIs to ensure continued functionality of AVEVA Work Tasks and maintain notification message delivery despite the deprecation of the legacy FCM APIs.

  • AVEVA Work Tasks Pro application would crash when launching the RFID scanner on Android 13 devices. Users can now scan NFC tags seamlessly, allowing them to perform RFID scanner features without interruptions.

  • Users were unable to upload attachments when the Encryption Security Mode was set for the Attachment control. Users can now successfully attach photos in the Attachment control with Encryption Security Mode enabled, ensuring smooth use in their business processes.

  • Enhanced overall security measures.
