Secure Calendar Control

Calendars enable creation of multiple, multi-level, hierarchical calendars. In addition, you can define a number of lower-level calendars that inherit from one of the top-level calendars. As a result, an organization with a number of geographical locations can define an organization-wide main calendar, which will broadly define the work hours across the organization. It can then allow each location to define a separate calendar with its own work hours to accommodate the unique work hour requirements of that region. This calendar will inherit the settings of the main calendar and the custom settings can be added on top of them.

Additional levels of customized calendars can be configured by inheriting from the corresponding higher-level calendar. The lowest level of calendars that can be defined by extending this process are the Resource calendars.

To open Calendar Control:

In the Enterprise Console, click the Menu button, click Settings, and then click Calendar. The Calendar page appears.

The Calendar Control user interface opens with a window that displays all the available calendars. If no calendar has been configured then this window shows only the Add New Calendar icon.

Using Calendar Control rights, the user can control the access to add a new calendar, delete existing calendar, view all the calendars, view base calendar and view the calendar control.

The following table summarizes the Queue Control rights available for a Repository:
