Edit workflow

Use the Edit or Edit Workflow option to edit the description of an existing workflow.
To edit a workflow:

Select the workflow you want to edit and click Edit from the ribbon. Alternatively, select and right-click the workflow, and then select Edit Workflow. The Edit Workflow window appears.

Change the Description of the workflow.

Click Save & Continue to save the changes. The workflow is updated, and the Workflow Options wizard appears.

Select an appropriate option, and then click Finish.
Note: Consider a scenario where an application level Work Item Field, which is set for a workflow, is not available in the repository. When you open or edit the workflow in the Design Mode, then the Work Item Field is recreated in the repository.
