Copy from Existing Views

This section provides detailed procedures for copying from existing views.
While creating a new view which is similar to an existing view, but with few differences, you can copy the template of an existing view and continue creating a new view.
Scenario
Consider the case of the Support Incident View. The user has created some of the public views to get easy access to all the support incident list items. However, the user now wants to create a view to get only the Query incidents which have originated through Email. To achieve this, the user can create a new view while selecting the existing view (By Email), that was created previously. This feature can help the user to create a new view by using the template of an existing view.
To copy from pre-existing views

In the Enterprise Console, click the Menu button, click Lists, and then click Support Incidents. The Support Incidents list items page appears.

Go to the View drop-down list field and select Create View.

Type the name Email Query for this view of the list.

Select the By Email template from the pre-existing views in the Copy From drop-down list.
You can see that the display column selections made in the By Email template are displayed here because of selecting the By Email in the Copy From field.

Click the Show items only when the following is true radio button in the Filter Columns field. You can see the By email filter conditions appearing in the field.

Add another filter condition by selecting Incident Type, is equal to, and Value.

Type Query in the condition field.

Click Create View.
To view the Email Query view

Select the Email Query view from the View drop-down list in the Support Incidents list screen. All the list items which have originated by email and are of the query incident type are listed.
