Remove Work Items

You can remove the work item of a workflow instance without aborting the workflow instance. To remove work items, the logged in user must have the Can Kill Work Item security rights.

The Manage Work items option is visible only to users who have the right to remove or forward work items.

The work item does not get removed under the following conditions:

  • If the work item to be removed is the only work item of the activity

  • If the ownership of the work item is taken by the logged in user

To remove a work item

  1. In the Enterprise Console, click the Menu icon, click Tools, and then click Manage Work items. The Manage Work items page appears.

  2. Select the workflow instance that you want to remove. You can select multiple work items at a time by selecting the check box in the grid.

  3. Click Remove. Alternatively, right-click the work item, and then select Remove.

  4. Click Yes to remove the work item.

  5. Click OK.
