Sort the Columns

This section provides detailed procedures to sort the order of the grid columns.

This option can be used to sort the columns according to your preference.

Scenario

Consider the case of the Support Incident List View. The Telematics Support Manager wants to create a tasks view by sorting the incident numbers in descending order. The Manager can use the Sort Columns option to get this view.

To sort the columns in the views

  1. In the Enterprise Console, click menu icon, click Lists, and then click Support Incidents. The Support Incidents list items page appears.

  2. Go to the View drop-down list field and select Create View.

  3. Type the name Tasks for this view of the list.

  4. In Sort Columns, select the Number option from the Sort by field.

  5. Select Descending order radio button.

  6. If you want to sort other columns, you can click the Show More Columns and make the necessary selections.

  7. Click Create View.

    Note: Sorting can be done to a maximum of 10 columns.

To view the Tasks view

  • Select the Tasks view from the View drop-down list in the Support Incidents list screen. You can see the grid columns according to your specifications.
