Create a Security Right

The new option can be used to create and add a new security right that can be later used within a security group.

To create a new security right, follow the steps given below

1. Log on to the Enterprise Console.

2. Point to admin, and then click Repository Settings. The Repository Settings page appears.

3. Click the Advance Settings tab.

4. Click Manage Security Rights. The Security Right window displays all the security rights.

5. Click New. The Create New Security Right window appears. 
    

6. In the Title text box, enter a name for the right.

7. In the Right Code text box, enter a code name for the right.

8. In the Scope of the Right drop-down list, select the scope for the right created. Scope for the right can be Global, Repository, List Specific, ListItem Specific. Depending on the level selected, different fields will get displayed. 
    

9. The following options appear if you select Global, AcrossListForListLevel, AcrossListForListOnly, or AcrossListForListItemLevel:
   

10. If you select the Yes radio button, the options shown below will get displayed. This allows you to set the values for the right created.  

    

11. The option shown below will get displayed, if you select the scope for the right as ListSpecificForListLevel, ListSpecificForListOnly and ListSpecificForListItemLevel. This allows the user to select the Lists for which the new right can be applied. Value for the new right can also be set. 

12. The following options will get displayed, if you select the scope for the right as Repository, Queue, Calendar or Work Item. This page opens the list of values that can be set for the right. 
     

13. After selecting the relevant scope for the new security right and setting the values for it, click Save to finish and to save the new security right.
