Execute SQL Scripts

The Execute SQL Scripts option allows you to execute the SQL scripts available in the package. This option is available in the Additional Settings pane in the Add to Package Template and/or Edit Package Template pages.
You can execute the SQL scripts for the following artifacts.

Database Connection
-
Database Activity
-
Custom Queue
-
Database Lookup
-
Procedure Lookup
-
Custom List
-
Manage List
To execute SQL scripts

Select and right-click the artifact that you want to package, and then click Add to Package Template on the shortcut menu. The Select Package Template page appears.

Select the Package Template.

Select Package Template Version, Include Associated Artifacts, Include Child Artifacts, Include Security Artifacts, and Include the automatically generated SQL Script.

Click Next. The Add to Package Template page appears.

In the Configuration section, click Additional Settings.
The Additional Settings page appears on the right pane.

For the Execute SQL scripts property, select one of the following:

Yes: Select this option if you want to execute all the SQL scripts in the package before installing or updating the package. The default value is Yes.

No: Select this option if you do not want to execute all the SQL scripts in the package before installing or updating the package.

In the Settings page, click Save Settings, and then click Save Template.
The package template settings are saved.
