Views

The following are the three kinds of BAM available:

• Analysts View

• Progress View

• Execution View

AVEVA Work Tasks security provides the BAM Rights to control the access to or restrict these views (either privilege or restrict) in the BAM Report.

To open Process execution view, follow the step given below:

1. Login as the Administrator user.

2. Select Reports from the Enterprise Console menu.

3. In right panel, double-click any workflow to open the Process execution view window.

Example: The following example demonstrates how to prevent a contributor user from seeing the Execution View in the Process execution view window.

To achieve the same, follow the steps given below:

4. Login as a user who belongs to the Contributor security group.

5. Select Reports from the Enterprise Console menu.

6. In right panel, double-click any workflow to open the Process execution view window. Before the security settings, the contributor user is able to see all the views in the Process execution view window.

7. To prevent the contributor user from seeing the Execution View in the Process execution view window, login as the administrator user.

8. Click Repository Settings > Advanced Settings > Manage Security Groups.

9. Select the Contributor security group and click Edit or right-click Contributor and select Edit from the context menu.

10. Click Set BAM Rights.

11. Unselect the Check for Inclusion check box to exclude.

12. Select Execution View.

13. Click Save. The Reset button is used to reset the previous settings.

14. Click Save in the Modify Existing Security Group window.

15. Click Yes in the Synchronization window if you want to apply these settings to the below levels or else click Submit.

16. Click OK in the confirmation window.

17. Login as the contributor user to check.

18. Select Reports from the Enterprise Console menu.

19. Double-click any workflow instance in the right panel. The Process execution view window is displayed. Now this user is not able to see the execution view.
