Highlight Records

Use Highlight Cells/Rows to highlight cells or rows of a data grid based on business conditions.

To highlight Cell or Row

  1. In the Enterprise Console, click the Menu button, click Settings, click Data Grid, and then click Grid Configuration. The Grid Configuration page appears.

  2. Right-click on a grid configuration, and then click Edit (or click on a grid configuration, and then on the action bar, click Edit). The Edit Grid Configuration dialog box appears.

  3. Click Advanced Settings. The Advanced Settings dialog box appears.

  4. Do one of the following:

    • Apply fore color for a cell in the grid.

    • In the Apply To list, click Cell ForeColor.

    • Apply back color for a cell in the grid.

    • In the Apply To list, click Cell BackColor.

    • Apply fore color for a row in the grid.

    • In the Apply To list, click Row ForeColor.

    • Apply back color for a row in the grid.

    • In the Apply To list, click Row BackColor.

  5. In the Color list, click a color or enter hexadecimal code of the color.

  6. In the Data Source list, click a column of the lookup.

  7. In the Operator list, click an operator. The operators are populated based on the data type of the selected column of the lookup.

    • This Month (considers days in the current month, that is from the first day of the month to the last day of the month)

    • This Week (considers days under the current ISO 8601 week number)

    • This Year (considers days in the current year, that is from the first day of January to the last day of December of the year)

    • Today

    • Tomorrow

    • Yesterday

    Numeric

    • Equals

    • Not Equals

    • Greater Than

    • Greater Than or Equal To

    • Lesser Than

    • Lesser Than or Equal To

  8. In the Value box, type a value for the column.

  9. Click the Add Row button to add an additional row if required.

  10. Click Save. The conditions for highlighting records are saved.

  11. Click Save. The Edit Grid Configuration dialog box is closed.

    Note:
    - Database column names with special characters except underscore are not supported.
    - The appropriate data type must be set for the selected columns of the Web API lookup in the Lookup Settings. Otherwise, only operators for the String data type will be available in the Operator list for the column.
    - Boolean value can be entered as 0 or false for false value and 1 or true for true value.
    - Date and time values must be set as per the server culture in the format, MM/DD/YYYY. The date time values should only contain date part.
    - Date is not validated and must be entered only in MM/DD/YYYY format without the preceding zeros.
    For example, September 8, 2007 should be entered as 9/8/2007 and not 09/08/2007.
    - Value column does not support single quotation mark (') special character.
    When multiple conditions are specified the last specified condition takes precedence.
    - To ensure optimal performance, restrict the total number of conditions to a maximum of 10. The condition is applied only if the column is displayed in the grid.
