Effective Mapping of a Security Group

Use the Effective Mapping option to view the resources mapped for the security groups at different levels.

To view effective mapping:

1. Access the Central Configuration URL (for example, https://worktasks.connect.aveva.com/CC123456789). .

2. Click Repository Settings. The Repository Settings page appears.

3. Click Advanced Settings tab.

4. Click Manage Security Groups. The Security Groups page appears.

5. Select a security group and then click Effective Mapping. The View Effective Mapping window appears.
   Alternatively, select and right-click a security group, and then click Effective Mapping.

6. Click a List/Item Name to view the rights mapped to the selected Security Group at the repository level. The View Security Group Rights window appears.

7. Click Close.

To view the effective mapping at list level:

8. To view the effective mapping at list level, enable security at the list level. If there is no security at this level, first enable it. For more information about enabling security at the list level, see Enabling Security at List Level.

9. Go to any list using the menu button in the Enterprise Console. For example, assume that security is already enabled at the Workflow list level. In the Enterprise Console, click the Menu button, and then click Workflows. The Workflows page appears.

10. On the action bar, click Security. The security settings page appears.

11. Click View Security Mapping at List Level to view security mapping at the workflow list level. The View Security Mapping at List Level appears.

12. Click any security group to display the rights mapped to the group.

To view the effective mapping at listitem level:

13. To view effective mapping at listitem level, enable security at the listitem level. If there is no security at this level, first enable it. For more information about enabling security at the list level, see Enabling Security at ListItem Level.

14. Go to any list using the menu button in the Enterprise Console. For example, assume that security is already enabled at the Workflow list level. In the Enterprise Console, click the Menu button, and then click Workflows. The Workflows page appears.

15. Right-click the required workflow list item, and then select Security Settings from the context menu. For example, right-click the 'FileWatcher' workflow and then select Security Settings from the context menu. The security settings page appears.

16. Click View Security Mapping at List Item Level to view the security mapping at workflow listitem level.

    The View Security Mapping at ListItem Level appears.

17. Click any security group to display the rights mapped to the group.
