Create XML Variable of Type XML Forms Data Grid

To create XML Variable of type XML Forms Data Grid:

1. Click New Variable button in the XML Variable Interface.

2. Enter the following information:

   Variable Name: Enter the name of the variable.

   Description: Enter a description for the variable.

   Type: This field defaults to XML Document. Select XML Forms Data Grid from the drop-down.

   Scope: Select the scope of the variable. The scope of the variable can be either Global or Local.

3. When the variable type is changed to XML Forms Data Grid, following additional properties are displayed as seen in the following image.  

   

   1. Select Xml Variable - Xml variables of type Xml Document and Xml list are listed here. Select the parent Xml Variable that is mapped to Forms or Lists which have a Data Grid control.

   2. Select Xml Node - Only nodes of the parent variable selected above are displayed here. Select the Xml Node which is mapped to the Forms Data Grid control.

   3. Select Data Grid - Lists the Grid Configurations created. Select the Data Grid Configuration mapped for the selected Xml node. The Grid Configuration selected here should match with the Grid Configuration for the Xml node selected above.

4. Click Save Variable.
