Control Queue View

The following example demonstrates how to prevent a contributor user from viewing the Queue Management window.

  1. Log on as an administrator user to control the Queue Management window for the contributor user.

  2. Point to admin, and then click Repository Settings. The Repository Settings page appears.

  3. In the Advanced Settings tab, click Manage Security Groups. The Security Group page appears.

  4. Select a Security Group Name, and then click Edit. The Modify a Security Group page appears. For example, select the Contributor security group.
    The following image shows that the Contributor user cannot add a new queue even though this user can view the Queue Management window. 
     

  5. Uncheck the Can View Queue Control right to control to the access to view the Queue control.

  6. Click Save. The Synchronizing the Security Group dialog box appears.

  7. Click Yes if you want to synchronize the changes to the below levels, or else click Submit.

  8. Click OK on the confirmation window.

  9. Now log on as a user who belongs to the Contributor security group.

  10. Click Queue Management. A warning message about no permissions to view the Queue control appears.

  11. Click OK.
