Expression Editor Interface

The Expression Editor window consists of two main sections as shown in the image below:

• Object Browser (left panel): Displays default objects such as Date, Math, String, and Workflow Instance. Each object expands to show available methods, properties, and functions. You can show or hide this panel using the toggle at the top and refresh its contents using the Refresh button.

• Editor Area (right panel): Allows you to write expressions. Buttons at the top let you insert common operators (+, -, /, *, (, ), &, |). Use the OK button to save your expression or the Cancel button to discard it. The Return Type field on the right allows you to select the type of value the expression should return.

Guidelines and Limitations

• Do not use HTML tags in expressions.

• Hardcoded values using the $ symbol are not supported.

• XML variables are not supported.

• Scripts cannot create or delete files or folders.
