Calendar

You can package and deploy an organization Calendar from one environment or repository to another environment or repository using the package feature in AVEVA Work Tasks.

To add Calendar to Package Template

  1. Log on to the Enterprise Console.

  2. On the menu, point to Settings, and then click Calendar.
    The Calendar Control window appears.

  3. Select the calendar that you want to package.
    If you want to create a calendar, see "Chapter: About Calendar" in the User Guide.

  4. In the new Calendar Control window for the calendar that you opened, click Add to Package Template.
    The Add to Package Template dialog box appears.

Configuration Settings for Calendar

The Calendar has an unique set of configuration settings required to install, update, and uninstall the package.

You can view and edit the configuration settings from one of the following windows:

  • Source Environment > Package Template window

  • Target Environment > Manage Package window

The Package Template configuration window contains the following tabs:

  • Settings

    • Install

    • Update

    • Uninstall

  • Associated Artifacts

  • Child Artifacts

Settings Tab

You can use the properties in the Settings tab to take appropriate actions to install, update, or uninstall a package.

Install

Use this tab to set the configurations for installing the package.

  • Calendar Exists: Select this property to take appropriate action when the calendar in the package is already present in the target environment.

    • Do not install calendar: Select this option to use the calendar, present in the target environment.

    • Install to overwrite the existing calendar: Select this option to overwrite the calendar, present in the target environment with the packaged calendar. During the package installation, backup will be taken before overwriting the existing artifact.

  • Associated Artifacts Not Present: Select this property to take appropriate action when the associated artifacts of the calendar are not present in the target environment.

    • Install calendar: Select this option to install the calendar, even if the associated artifacts are not present in the target environment.

    • Do not install calendar: Select this option, if you do not want to install the calendar as its associated artifacts are not present in the target environment.

Update

Use the settings in this tab to update an installed package.

  • Delete Calendar: Select this property to delete the calendar that was installed by the package.

    • Yes: Select this option to remove the calendar from the target environment.

      If Calendar Modified After Installation: Select this property if calendar was present prior to package installation or the calendar installed by the package is modified.

      • Retain: Select this option to retain the calendar along with the modifications in the target environment even after the package is updated.

      • Rollback to original state: Select this option to roll back the artifact to the backup taken. All modifications that were done to the calendar after it was installed in the target environment will be reverted. However, the calendar will be retained in the target environment.

      • Delete: Select this option to delete the calendar from the target environment.

    • No: Select this option to retain the calendar in the target environment.

      Calendar Exists: Select this property to take appropriate action when the calendar that is being installed is present in the target environment.

      • Do not install calendar: Select this option to use the calendar that is present in the target environment.

      • Install to overwrite existing calendar: Select this option to overwrite the calendar present in the target environment with the packaged calendar.

        Associated Artifacts Not Present: Select this property if associated artifact is not present in the target environment

      • Update calendar: Select this option to update the calendar.

      • Do not update calendar: Select this option if you do not want to update the calendar as associated artifacts are not present.

Uninstall

Use this tab to configure the settings when the package is being uninstalled from the target environment.

  • Delete Calendar: Select this property to retain or delete the calendar from the target environment even after uninstalling the package.

    • Yes: Select this option to delete the calendar from the target environment when the package is uninstalled.

      If Calendar Modified After Installation: Select this option to retain, roll back the calendar to original state, or delete the calendar from the target environment even after the package is uninstalled. This property is displayed only if Delete Calendar is set to Yes. However, if Delete Calendar is set to No, this property is not displayed.

      • Retain: Select this option to retain the calendar along with the modifications in the target environment.

      • Rollback to original state: Select this option to roll back to the backup taken. All modifications that were done to the calendar after it was installed in the target environment will be reverted. However, the calendar will remain in the target environment.

      • Delete: Select this option to delete the calendar from the target environment.

    • No: Select this option to retain the calendar in the target environment after uninstalling the package.

Associated Artifacts Tab

By default, a calendar does not have any associated artifact.

While creating a calendar, if you inherit another calendar into it, then the inherited calendar appear as the associated artifact of the calendar.

Child Artifacts Tab

Calendar does not have any child artifact.
