Change Owner Information

You can change the owner of a list item. You might need this feature to inherit another user's items to make it own item, or change owner of that item. Only an administrator can change the owner of a list item.

To change owner of the navigation list

  1. In the Navigation List page, select a navigation list item.

  2. Click Edit on the ribbon.

    The Change List Item Owner page appears.

    Alternatively, select and right-click a navigation list item, and then click Edit.

  3. In the Select a User box, enter the user name using the User Lookup window.

  4. Click Save.

    The owner information is changed.

  5. Click OK in the confirmation window.
