BAM Configuration

In BAM, there are some configuration settings which allow the user to set Overdue Analysis, KPI(s), Performance, Alerts, and Time settings to schedule the BAM reports.
AVEVA Work Tasks provided BAM rights to control these configurations:

To open BAM configuration window, follow the step given below:

Login as an Administrator user.

Select Workflows from the Enterprise Console menu.

Select any workflow and click Design on the ribbon bar or right-click and select Design Workflow from the context menu. This will redirect you to the Process Designer window.

Select BAM Configuration from the Settings menu. Before the security settings, the contributor user is able to see all the BAM configuration tabs in the Process Designer window.
The BAM Configuration window for the selected workflow is displayed.
Example: The following example demonstrates how to prevent a contributor user from viewing the Performance and Basic Configuration tabs in the BAM Configuration window.
To achieve the same, follow the steps given below:

Login as a user who belongs to the Contributor security group.

Select Workflows from the Enterprise Console menu.

Select any workflow and click Design from the ribbon bar or right-click and select Design Workflow from the context menu. This redirects you to the Process Designer window.

Select BAM Configuration from the Settings menu.

To prevent the contributor user from viewing the Performance and Basic Configuration tabs in the BAM Configuration window, login as the administrator user.

Click Repository Settings > Advanced Settings > Manage Security Groups.

Select the Contributor security group and click Edit or right-click Contributor and select Edit from the context menu.

Click Set BAM Rights.

Unselect the Check for Inclusion check box to exclude.

Click Set BAM Rights.

Select Performance and Basic Configuration.

Click Save. The Reset button is used to reset the previous settings.

Click Save in Modify Existing Security Group window.

Click Yes in the Synchronization window if you want to apply these settings to the below levels or else click Submit.

Click OK in the confirmation window.

Login as a contributor user.

Select Workflows from the Enterprise Console menu.

Right-click any workflow and select Design Workflow from the context menu. The Process Designer will be displayed.

From the Settings menu, select BAM Configuration. Now the logged in user is not able to view the Performance and Basic Configuration tabs in the BAM Configuration window.
