Include Security Artifacts

Complete the following tasks to include the list item level security of an artifact to the package template:

Prerequisite

Enable the security settings for an artifact/list item that you want to package.

1. In the List Item page, click Security on the Action bar.

   Or

   In the List Item page, right-click the artifact and select Security Settings from the context menu.

2. In the Security window, go to Advanced Settings tab, and click Enable List Item specific security.

   The Enable Security Wizard dialog box appears.

3. Select Security Group Customization.

4. Publish the artifact.

To include security artifacts

5. Select and right-click the artifact that you want to package, and then click Add to Package Template on the shortcut menu. In the Select Package Template page, select the Package Template.

   Or

   Create a new package template. For more information about creating a package template, see Creating a Package Template.

6. In the Include Security Artifacts section, perform one of the following:

   • Yes: Select this option if you want to include the list item level security artifacts in the package template.

   • No: Select this option if you do not want to include the list item level security artifacts in the package template.

7. Click Save Template.
