A contributor user cannot add a new queue. Only the Administrator user can add a new queue. The New Queue option is not available for the Contributor user.

The following example demonstrates how the Queue Control rights can be used to allow a contributor user to add a new queue.

  1. To control the access to add a new queue for a Contributor user, log on as an Administrator user.

  2. Point to admin, and then click Repository Settings. The Repository Settings page appears.

  3. In the Advanced Settings tab, click Manage Security Groups. The Security Group page appears.

  4. Select a Security Group Name, and then click Edit. The Modify a Security Group page appears. For example, select the Contributor security group.
The following image shows that the Contributor user cannot add a new queue even though this user can view the Queue Management window.

  5. Check the Can Add New Queue to provide permissions to the Contributor group to New Queue.

  6. Click Save. The Synchronizing the Security Group dialog box appears.

  7. Click Yes, if you want to synchronize the changes to its below levels, or else click Submit.

  8. Click OK on the confirmation window.

  9. Log on as a user who belongs to the Contributor security group.

  10. Go to the Queue Management page. Now, the contributor user will be able to view the button to add a queue in the Queue Management window.
