A contributor user cannot add a new queue. Only the Administrator user can add a new queue. The New Queue option is not available for the Contributor user.
The following example demonstrates how the Queue Control rights can be used to allow a contributor user to add a new queue.
-
To control the access to add a new queue for a Contributor user, log on as an Administrator user.
-
Point to admin, and then click Repository Settings. The Repository Settings page appears.
-
In the Advanced Settings tab, click Manage Security Groups. The Security Group page appears.
-
Select a Security Group Name, and then click Edit. The Modify a Security Group page appears. For example, select the Contributor security group.
The following image shows that the Contributor user cannot add a new queue even though this user can view the Queue Management window.

-
Check the Can Add New Queue to provide permissions to the Contributor group to New Queue.
-
Click Save. The Synchronizing the Security Group dialog box appears.
-
Click Yes, if you want to synchronize the changes to its below levels, or else click Submit.
-
Click OK on the confirmation window.
-
Log on as a user who belongs to the Contributor security group.
-
Go to the Queue Management page. Now, the contributor user will be able to view the button to add a queue in the Queue Management window.
