Control Package Install

In the Manage Package list, you can control the user from installing a package.
To install a package
-
Log on as a user who belongs to the Contributor security group.

Open Manage Package page.

Select a package, and click Install. The Package Configurations page appears.

Specify the required configurations.

Click Install Package. The Package History page appears, and then package installed successfully message appears.

Click OK.
To control the user from installing the package

Log on as the Administrator user.

Point to admin, and then click Repository Settings. The Repository Settings page appears.

In the Advanced Settings tab, click Manage Security Groups. The Security Group page appears.

Right-click the Contributor security group, and then click Edit. The Modify a Security Group page appears.

In the Manage Packages List Rights section, uncheck the Install right to restrict the contributor from installing the package.

Click Save. The Synchronizing the Security Group dialog box appears.

Click Yes, if you want to synchronize the changes to the below levels, else click Submit.

Click OK on the confirmation window.

To verify if the a user who belongs to the Contributor security group can install a package or not, log on as a user who belongs to the Contributor security group.

Open Manage Packages page.

Select a package and click Install. The following message appears:
