AVEVA™ Work Tasks

Out-of-the-Box Web Parts

AVEVA Work Tasks provides the following six out-of-the-box Web Parts to support workflow monitoring, task management, scheduling, and data handling. These include:

BAM

The Business Activity Monitoring Dashboard is a key component of the AVEVA Work Tasks Server Control. It provides real-time monitoring of workflow execution and displays reports on workflow status and performance.

Hide Categories

Hides specified categories. Separate multiple entries with a semicolon.

Example: Dashboard;Analyze

Display Report Border

Displays the table border for individual reports.

Instances To Be Shown

Specifies multiple workflow instances to display.

Example: 123;124

Show Individual Report

Displays a specific report by ID or name.

Report Description

Adds a description to the report (individual mode only).

To show an individual report ['Id' field of 'SKBAMMenu' Table]

Displays a specific report by ID or name.

Example: Id field of SKBAMMenu table

To show an individual report [Report Name with hierarchy.]

To provide a name to a report.

Example: Analyze/Executing

Report title

Adds a title to the report (individual mode only).

To toggle the visibility of the report border

Switches report border visibility (individual mode only).

Number of records to export

You can configure the number of records to export from grids in the Reports page. This setting applies across all grids for an instance.

If left blank, the system defaults to exporting 50 records. To apply changes, save the configuration and return to the Reports page from the Enterprise Console menu.

Additionally, you can override this setting at the grid level using the Export Settings icon on the Reports page. The grid-level setting takes precedence over the general Web Part-level configuration.

Example:

If you set the general export limit as 10 records but configure a specific grid to export 20 records using the Export Settings icon, then 20 records will be exported for that grid.

Workflow Name

Specifies multiple workflows to monitor.

Example: workflow1;workflow2

Calendar

You can use the Calendar interface to create hierarchical organization and resource calendars. Use Calendars to determine availability of resources, calculate timeouts, and perform other scheduling functions.

Queue Management

You can use the Queue Management to create and manage queues for allocating workflow activities. This is done using the Queue control.

Queue control consists of only Appearance and Layout properties. It does not comprise of any property grid.

Work Items List

The Work items list is a Web-based interface which lists the various workflow activities in AVEVA Work Tasks. The Work items list provides detailed information of an activity. You can view and respond to work items from an interface similar to Microsoft Office Outlook.

Allow ownership on row click automatically

To take ownership of the work item on clicking the row.

Display the columns with autofit

Display the columns with autofit in the layout.

Enable Multi Select

To select multiple work items.

Display left tree menu without grouping the workflow(s)

To view the Work items list page without grouping the workflow(s).

Enable Move to the next work item after submitting the work item from the detail view

To move to the next work item as soon as you submit a work item from the detailed view.

Note: When the Show reading pane in pop-up window option is checked, and when an Invoke Form work item (configured with Save as draft option as yes) is opened, and the Save as draft button is clicked, then the pop-up window closes.

When the Show reading pane in pop-up window option is unchecked, and when you click on Save as draft button, the form is saved as draft, but the form content is still displayed inline.

Display Classic Paging

To display the Classic Paging properties.

Enable Export

To control the visibility of the Export icon in the work item details grid status bar.

Enable Hold

To put work items on hold. The Hold button would be visible for a work item if hold is enabled.

Display Next and Previous buttons in the work item detail view

To navigate to the next or previous work item from the work item detailed view page.

Display multi-select option, by default, for queue items

To display queue items with the multi select option enabled by default.

Enter the average column name

To calculate the average of columns when the grouping operation is performed on columns. You can specify multiple column names with semicolon.

Example: Expense Amount,true;Leave Days,false

Enter the group count column name

To calculate the count of the columns when the grouping operation is performed on columns. You can specify multiple column names with semicolon.

Example: Leave Days;Expense Type

Enter the group total column name

To calculate the total of the column names when the grouping operation is performed on columns. You can specify multiple column names with semicolon.

Example: Expense Amount,true;Leave Days,false

Show inbox details without left grid view

To display only the Inbox view without the folder list to the left tree menu.

Layout View Name

To load a specific layout. Multiple workflow names can be specified with semicolon. Example:Leave Application;HRProcess.

Show Manager View

To display only the Manager View for the list.

Show reading pane in pop-up window

To display the work item details in a separate window and not in the Reading Pane after the Inbox.

Record Size

To display the number of messages in the work items based on this property. For example, assume that there are 35 messages. If this property is set as 20, then 20 messages out of 35 are displayed in the work items.

Retain the sort column

To retain the selection of recently sorted column after submitting the work item and also while expanding the left tree menu view items. If this is set to true, then selection of the recently sorted column is retained. If set to false, then the selection of the recently sorted column is not retained.

Display the count on the left side of the grid view

To display the work items count in the left-hand-side grid view.

Show a custom link on the left side of the grid menu

To display a custom link in the left pane of Work items Web Part.

Show detail view on row double-click

To open the work item details page (Custom ASPX page) on double-click.

Show detail view as modal window

To choose the detail view to appear as a modal window or a modeless window when you click a work item to edit.

Show detail view with multi-select option enabled

To display the detail view with the multi-select option enabled by default.

Show filter bar always

To display or hide the filter bar.

Show multi select window in the center

To display a multi-select window in the center of the page.

Show queues

To display a folder for queues that the user is a participant in.

Show queue detail view without picking

To act on a work item without picking it.

Queue Name

To display the queue name in the left tree menu of the Work items Web Part. If the queue name is not specified, all available queues appears in the left tree menu. Multiple queue names can be specified with semicolon. Example: Manager;Support

Show queues on the left-side of grid view menu only if the queues have work items

To show queues in the left-hand-side grid view menu only if they have work items.

Show standard columns

To displays the work item fields columns based on the Workflow Name property of work item control.

Workflow Name

To display the workflow name in the left tree menu of the Work items Web Part. If the workflow name is not specified, all available workflows appears in the left tree menu.

Show Work Item Fields

To display work item fields.

Display pop-up messages while acting on a Queue item in Inbox

To enable or disable pop-up messages in the inbox while performing actions on queue work items in inbox. For example, if you do not enable this option, and when you pick and recall an allocated item, the pop-up window with information message does not appear. By default, this field is enabled.

Forms

A Form is used as an interface to enter data in the Lists. The Forms Designer is an intermediate layer between a user and the Forms Engine. The Forms Designer is an interface that you can use to design, customize, and maintain form templates, and define the business logic specific to a form. Forms are associated with workflows. These workflows are responsible for driving end-to-end business applications. A form triggers a business process.

You can use the Forms web part to fill a published form by using the Fill Form in the Enterprise Console menu. To access the Forms Web Part page, you must have Can Fill Form permissions in AVEVA Work Tasks.

The following table explains the properties of Form Web Part:

Form Name

To specify a name for the form.

Form Display Mode

To select the display mode from the drop-down list. By default, Form Display Mode property is set as Tree mode.

Show Fill form as Pop-up

To view the Fill Form as a pop-up on the screen.

If this option is not checked, the form is loaded inline to the tree view.

Inline Form Height

To specify the height of the inline form.

Tree View Height

To specify the height of the tree view of the web part.

List

The List is a collection of items such as Task lists or Item lists captured using Forms. It acts as a logical table (similar to a database table) but involves a more complicated structure to represent an entire entity with links to child tables. The data entered in the List is stored in the Repository. It stores application-level data thus facilitating generation of business reports. AVEVA Work Tasks lists group related information.

To display the ribbon bar for the lists.
