Use BAM Security

Only the administrator can grant or deny permissions.

To use the BAM Security

To set permissions at the Repository Level

  1. Log on as the Administrator user.

  2. Point to admin, and then click Repository Settings. The Repository Settings page appears.

  3. In the Advanced Settings tab, click Manage Security Groups. The Security Group page appears.

  4. Right-click the security group to be customized, and then click Edit. The Modify a Security Group page appears. Modify the BAM rights.  
     

  5. Click the Set BAM Rights link to set the BAM rights. The Set Business Activity Monitoring Rights dialog box appears.

  6. Check BAM Tree Manu Rights, Views, Actions, and BAM Configuration. Note that the Check for Inclusion check box is available on the top. If you select the Check for Inclusion check box, the selected BAM Tree Menu Rights, Views, Actions, and BAM Configurations options are included in the rights value and saved in the database. If the Check for Inclusion check box is not selected, the selected BAM Tree Menu Rights, Views, Actions, and BAM Configurations options will be excluded from the rights value and all the unselected options will be saved in the database.

  7. Click Save. The Set Business Activity Monitoring Rights dialog box closes.

  8. To set the Any Workflow, Can View BAM Control, Can View Global Reports, Initiated Workflow, and Owned Workflow rights, select the corresponding check boxes, and then click Save.

To set BAM security at the List Item level

  1. Go to the Workflows list.

  2. Select an item and click Security. The security settings page appears.

  3. Alternatively, select and right-click an item, and then click Security Settings from the shortcut menu.

  4. In the Advanced Settings tab, click Customize Security Group for this List.

  5. Right-click the security group to be customized, and then click Edit. The Modify a Security Group page appears. Modify the BAM rights.

  6. Follow Step 5 to Step 8 to set BAM security at the List Item level.
