User Defined List when Lock is Enabled

The lock option in the context menu will be available for the list items of a User Defined list only if the option Enable Lock is set to Yes for the respective User Defined List. When lock is enabled, the user defined list can be locked and other users will not be able to edit or modify it.
Scenario:
Consider a list Inventory Purchase Order for which lock is enabled. Kevin locks one of the the list item Purchase of Laptops of Inventory Purchase Order. When Lan access the list item Purchase of Laptops, he will not be able to edit or modify it.
The table below shows the actions which Lan can perform on the list item Purchase of Laptops which is locked by Kevin.

When a list item is locked, the child items of the locked list item will not get locked and other users can work on it.
