In BAM, there are actions to control the workflow execution. These actions are provided in the form of image buttons in the Process Execution window.

AVEVA Work Tasks provided BAM rights to control these actions.

Example: The following example demonstrates how to prevent a contributor user from viewing the Kill action option.
To do this, follow the steps given below:

Login as a user who belongs to the Contributor security group.

Select Reports from the Enterprise Console menu.

In the right panel, double-click any workflows to open the Process execution view window. Before the security settings, the contributor user is able to see all the actions in the Process execution view window.

To prevent the contributor user for viewing the Kill action in the Process execution view window, login as an administrator user.

Click Repository Settings > Advanced Settings > Manage Security Groups.

Select the Contributor security group and click Edit or right-click Contributor and select Edit from the context menu.

Click Set BAM Rights.

Unselected the Check for Inclusion check box to exclude.

Click Set BAM Rights.

Select Kill action.
-
Click Save.

The Reset button is used to reset the previous settings.

Click Save from the Modify Existing Security Group window.

Click Yes in the Synchronization window if you want to apply these settings to the below levels or else click Submit.

Click OK in the confirmation window.

Login as a contributor user to check.

Select Reports from the Enterprise Console menu.

Double-click any workflow instance in the right panel. The Process execution view window is displayed. Now this user is not able to see the Kill option in the tool bar.
