Control Package Template Export

In the Package Template list, you can control the user from exporting the package template.

To export a package template

1. Log on as a user who belongs to the Contributor security group.

2. Open Package Template page.

3. Select a generated package template, and click Export.

   The Export dialog box appears.

4. Select Save.

   A message about successful export of the package template appears.

5. Click OK.

To control the user from exporting the package template

6. Log on as the Administrator user.

7. Point to admin, and then click Repository Settings.

   The Repository Settings page appears.

8. In the Advanced Settings tab, click Manage Security Groups.

   The Security Group page appears.

9. Right-click the Contributor security group, and then click Edit.

   The Modify a Security Group page appears.

10. In the Package Template List Rights section, uncheck the Export right to restrict the contributor from exporting the package template.

11. Click Save.

    The Synchronizing the Security Group dialog box appears.

12. Click Yes if you want to synchronize the changes to the below levels, else click Submit.

13. Click OK on the confirmation window.

14. To verify if the a user who belongs to the Contributor security group can export a package template or not, log on as a user who belongs to the Contributor security group.

15. Open the Package Template page.

16. Select a generated package template, and click Export.

    The following message appears:

    You do not have rights to perform this action.
