Lookup Settings Interface

A proper understanding of the Lookup Settings Interface allows you to effectively use the various features of the application.

The Lookup List is the default screen that is displayed when you start Lookup Settings. It allows you to create new database lists, lookup lists and organize them.

Lookup Settings interface has a breadcrumbs, an action bar, and a list of lookups.

Breadcrumbs

Breadcrumbs display the path to the child lookup or folder, and has commands to customize and view the list of lookups.

Default view to display the list of lookups.

Create View

Create a new view to display the list of lookups.

Action Bar

Action bar has commands to manage lookups and folders. Standard commands are available all the time whereas contextual commands are available only when a lookup is selected.

Create a new folder to group and organize lookups.

View or customize the security level for the lookups.

Delete the lookup.

List

List of lookups shows the title, description, lookup type, owner, item status, work in progress, workflow status, and last modified date for the lookups. Click on a column to sort the lookups.

Filter Bar

Filter bar can help to quickly find the desired lookup from the list of lookups. Filter bar has a funnel button and a parameter area for every column of the list of lookups. The filter button shows the available filter options and the parameter area is for entering the filter criteria. The filter bar is hidden by default. Right-click on the column header, and then click Filter Bar, to access the filter bar.

List Shortcut Menu

List shortcut menu has commands to manage the lookup. Right-click on a lookup to access the shortcut menu.

Delete the lookup.

Security Settings

View or customize the security level for the lookups.

Add to Package Template

Add the lookup to a package template.
