Web Part display modes

AVEVA Work Tasks provides three display modes for interacting with Web Parts:

• Browse mode: View-only mode. Users can minimize or restore Web Parts but cannot delete or edit them.

• Design mode: Allows users to minimize, restore, delete, or move Web Parts across zones.

  In this mode, the Web Part Zones are displayed as Web Part Zone Header, Web Part Zone Left, and Web Part Zone Right. Users can minimize or delete zones, and minimized zones can be restored using the Restore option in the same drop-down menu.

• Edit mode: Enables users to modify Web Part properties, add new Web Parts, and move Web Parts between zones using the Editor Zone pane.

How to switch between display modes

Based on the user rights assigned by the administrator, users are directed to either Home Page 1 or Home Page 2.

1. From the home page, expand the Webparts Settings bar.

2. From the Web Part Display Mode drop-down list, select Browse, Design, or Edit as needed.

   Note: By default, the home page opens in Browse mode.
