Update pending users

When a CONNECT user is granted access to AVEVA Contract Risk Management, they must be given a specific company role before they can sign in. Until this is done, they are categorized as Pending and are listed on the Pending Users page.
To bulk update pending users, you must download a spreadsheet from the Pending Users page, open it in Microsoft Excel using the The File Assistant, and then upload your changes back to AVEVA Contract Risk Management.
Only users with the Initial User Setup permission can access the Pending Users page.
View pending users

Open the navigation bar. If necessary, click the Manage tab.

Under User Management, click Pending Users.
On this page, you can filter the list of pending users by username - this is the same as their CONNECT user ID. Select the
button to expand the search box, and type the search text.
Update a pending user

On the Pending Users page, click on a username to open the Edit Pending User dialog.

Enter the details of the user:

First Name
-
Last Name
-
Phone (mobile) and Phone (work)

Email Address
-
Business Unit: The business unit that the user will belong to.

User Role: The user role of the user. Not available for Administrator accounts. See Company user roles for additional information.

Add user to existing related Project/Dept teams: Select Yes to add the user to all associated project/dDepts in their assigned business unit.

Reference Number

Click Save. The user disappears from the list of pending users. They will receive an email informing them that their AVEVA Contract Risk Management account is ready, and will be able to sign in to AVEVA Contract Risk Management either from CONNECT or using the link in the email.
Bulk update pending users
You can update pending users in bulk using the AVEVA Contract Risk Management File Assistant. See The File Assistant for more information about the File Assistant, and contact your administrator if it is not currently available to you.

On the Pending Users page, select Open in Excel to download a blank Microsoft Excel spreadsheet in the correct format.

Open the spreadsheet in Microsoft Excel.

On the Home ribbon bar, click the AVEVA File Assistant icon.
The File Assistant opens in a panel on the right side of the screen.

Click Login to log in to AVEVA Contract Risk Management. This is required even if you are already logged in through your browser.
The File Assistant pane is refreshed to show your options.

Select Download Users to populate the spreadsheet with the current list of pending users. This may take some time. Once the download is complete, a confirmation message is shown in the File Assistant panel.

Make changes to any users as needed by entering the correct values:

Business Unit: The business unit that the user will belong to.

Warning Do not edit the usernames.

Once you have made all the required changes, select Upload Users. This may take some time. Once the upload is complete, a confirmation message is shown in the File Assistant panel and the results of the upload are displayed in a new Result column.
Note If you did not make changes to a user, an error is listed even if this was intentional.
The users can now sign in to AVEVA Contract Risk Management using their CONNECT user ID. They will receive an email informing them that their AVEVA Contract Risk Management account is ready, and will be able to sign in to AVEVA Contract Risk Management either from CONNECT or using the link in the email.
