Contract dates

The Contract Dates page of the Contract Configuration displays a list view of user-defined contract dates that have been created as needed, such as dates of meetings. It also displays contract header dates such as the Start and End date.

User-defined contract dates can be added on the Contract Dates page or on the Calendar tab of the Contract home page (see Contract calendar).

The following icons are shown on the Contract Dates page:

fa-flag - Milestone dates, including contract header dates.

fa-calendar-o - User-defined contract dates which have not been set as milestones.

Add a contract date in the Contract Configuration

Users with the following contract roles can add contract dates:

  • Contract Owner

  • Contract Administrator

  • Company Representative

To add a date:

  1. Navigate to the Contract Configuration page.

  2. Select the Contract Dates tab.

    The Contract Dates page is displayed.

  3. Click Add a Date.

    The Create Contract Date page is displayed.

  4. Enter a name for the date in the Title field.

  5. Click the calendar icon to select the Date.

  6. If you want the date to be a milestone date, with which contract obligations can be associated, select Milestone.

  7. Click Save.

    The Contract Dates page is displayed.

Edit dates in the Contract Configuration

Note If a user-defined milestone date has any associated contract obligations, the Milestone option cannot be edited.

Users with the following contract roles can edit contract dates:

  • Contract Owner

  • Contract Administrator

  • Company Representative

To edit a user-defined contract date:

  1. Navigate to the Contract Configuration page.

  2. Select the Contract Dates tab.

    The Contract Dates page is displayed.

  3. Click the fa-sort-down drop-down arrow for the date you want to edit, and select Edit Details from the menu.

    The Edit Contract Date page is displayed.

  4. Update the Title and Date as required.

  5. If you want a user-defined contract date to become a milestone date, with which contract obligations can be associated, select Milestone.

    You can clear the Milestone option for an existing milestone ONLY if it does not have any associated contract obligations.

  6. Click Save.

    The Contract Dates page is displayed.

    To edit a contract header date:

    1. Navigate to the Contract Configuration page.

    2. Select the Contract Dates tab.

      The Contract Dates page is displayed.

    3. Click the fa-sort-down drop-down arrow for the date you want to edit, and select Edit Details from the menu.

      The Edit Contract Details page is displayed.

      Note For the Planned End Date, the Update Contract End Date page is displayed. See Update the contract end date for more information.

    4. Update the contract header date as required.

    5. Click Save.

      The Contract Dates page is displayed.

      Delete dates from the Contract Configuration

      You can delete any user-defined contract dates except for milestone dates which have associated contract obligations.

      Users with the following contract roles can delete user-defined contract dates:

      • Contract Owner

      • Contract Administrator

      • Company Representative

      To delete a date:

      1. Navigate to the Contract Configuration page.

      2. Select the Contract Dates tab.

        The Contract Dates page is displayed.

      3. Click the fa-sort-down drop-down arrow for the date you want to delete, and select Delete from the menu.

        A confirmation message is displayed.

      4. Click OK if you are sure you want to delete the date.

        The Contract Dates page is displayed.

        View the contract date commercial audit log from the Contract Configuration

        To view the commercial audit log for a user-defined contract date, which contains a history of changes:

        1. Navigate to the Contract Configuration page.

        2. Select the Contract Dates tab.

          The Contract Dates page is displayed.

        3. Click the fa-sort-down drop-down arrow for the date you want to view the changes for, and select View History from the menu.

          The Contract Date History window is displayed, in which you can see all the logged changes to the date.

          These include:

          • When the date was added, and the values of its fields.

          • Changes that were made to the values of the date fields.
