Contractor roles

The Contractor Roles section allows users with the Administration - User Maintenance permission to create roles and control access to AVEVA Contract Risk Management for contractor contacts in the same way as access for company users is controlled. The same caution must be exercised when creating contractor roles as company user roles as both control the users' access to AVEVA Contract Risk Management.

Create a contractor role

  1. Open the navigation bar. If necessary, click the Manage tab.

  2. Under User Management, click Contractor Roles.

    The Contractor Roles page is displayed.

  3. Click the Add icon on the top right of the page.

    The Create Contractor Role page is displayed.

  4. Enter the Name of the new contractor role.

  5. Enter the Description of the new contractor role.

  6. Select the appropriate permissions for the new contractor role - see Contractor role access for details.

    Tip To create a super user, select Select All Options.

  7. Click Save.

    A message confirming the creation of the new contractor role is displayed.

View contractor role details

  1. Open the navigation bar. If necessary, click the Manage tab.

  2. Under User Management, click Contractor Roles.

    The Contractor Roles page is displayed.

  3. Click the View icon for the contractor role you want to view.

    The View Contractor Role page for the selected user role is displayed - see Contractor role access for details.

    Edit contractor roles

    1. Open the navigation bar. If necessary, click the Manage tab.

    2. Under User Management, click Contractor Roles.

      The Contractor Roles page is displayed.

    3. Click the Edit icon for the contractor role you want to edit.

      The Edit Contractor Role page is displayed.

    4. Edit the Name and Description of the role as required.

    5. Select and clear the permissions for the role as appropriate - see Contractor role access for details.

    6. Click Save.

      A message is displayed confirming that the selected contractor role has been updated.

      Delete contractor roles

      Contractor roles can only be deleted if there are no users associated with that role.

      To delete a contractor user role:

      1. Open the navigation bar. If necessary, click the Manage tab.

      2. Under User Management, click Contractor Roles.

        The Contractor Roles page is displayed.

      3. Click the Delete icon for the contractor role you want to delete.

        A warning message is displayed.

      4. Click OK.

        A message confirming the deletion of the selected contractor role is displayed.
