Copy communication template

Note You cannot copy in a communication template with the same name or abbreviation as a template which already exists at that level. It is also not possible to copy in two or more templates with the same name or abbreviation (which exist at different levels).
The following users can copy communication templates:

Business unit Best Practice Library: users with one of the following sets of permissions:

the Manage Business Unit Best Practice Library permission for the business unit

the Access Across Business Units AND the Manage Business Unit Best Practice Library permission

Project/dept Best Practice Library: the Project Administrator
-
Contract Configuration: users with the following contract roles:

Contract Owner
-
Contract Administrator
-
Contract Process Owner
-
Company Representative

To copy a communication template:

Navigate to the Best Practice Library for the business unit or project/dept, or the Contract Configuration page.

Select the Communication Templates tab.
The Communication Templates page is displayed.

Click Add Communication Template and select Copy Communication Template from Library.
The Copy Communication Template page is displayed.

Select the communication templates you want to copy to the Best Practice Library or contract. Communication templates which have already been copied cannot be selected again.
In the project/dept Best Practice Library and Contract Configuration, you can filter the communication templates by the higher-level Best Practice Library in which they were created. For example, when copying to a contract, you can filter the templates by the Organization, business unit and project/dept.

Click OK.
The Communication Templates page is displayed, listing the copied communication templates.

Edit each communication template as required (see Edit communication templates).
