Stage gate approval

As a member of the Responsible Party for a stage gate, you have been invited to use AVEVA Contract Risk Management to communicate with the tender administrators who requires approval for a specific step in a tendering process. When a stage gate package has been issued to you, the tendering process is suspended until your approval has been granted.

All communication between you (the Responsible Party) and the tender administrators is conducted via AVEVA Contract Risk Management, in real time and within a secure, audited environment.

The following diagram represents the workflow of a stage gate package:

  1. The tender administrators create the stage gate package then issue the package to the Responsible Party.

  2. Once the package is in the Responsible Party's possession, the Responsible Party can send a message through AVEVA Contract Risk Management to keep the sender updated on the status of the approval.

  3. When the Responsible Party has reached a decision, they communicates their decision via AVEVA Contract Risk Management. AVEVA Contract Risk Management will suspend subsequent planned tendering schedule items until approval has been granted.

  4. If the Responsible Party grants approval, the subsequent steps are unlocked and tendering can continue.

If the package is not approved, the tender administrators may revise and reissue the package until it meets the Responsible Party's criteria.
