Contract obligation internal notes

Internal notes can be added to contract obligations. These are hidden from the contractor to ensure that all information remains internal to the company.

Add internal notes to a contract obligation

The following users can add internal notes to obligations:

  • Users with the following contract roles:

    • Contract Owner

    • Contract Administrator

    • Company Representative

  • Users with other contract roles who are members of the responsible party for the obligation.

To add an internal note to a contract obligation:

  1. On the Obligations tab of the Contract home page, click the obligation to open its details pane on the right-hand side of the page.

  2. Select Internal Notes from the menu.

    The list of internal notes opens in a new pane on the right-hand side of the page.

  3. Click Add.

    The Add an Internal Note window opens.

  4. Enter the text of the note.

    Note This is a Rich Text field; use the buttons on the field toolbar to add formatting to the text.

  5. Click Add.

    The Add an Internal Note window closes and the Internal Notes pane is refreshed to show the new note.

View contract obligation internal notes

Any company user with a contract role for the contract can view the internal notes for an obligation.

To view the internal notes for a contract obligation:

  1. On the Obligations tab of the Contract home page, click the obligation to open its details pane on the right-hand side of the page.

  2. Select Internal Notes from the menu.

    The list of internal notes opens in a new pane on the right-hand side of the page. Each note shows the date and time it was added, and the name of the user who added it.

    You can sort the notes in date order by clicking the fa-sort-numeric-asc Sort button.

    To close the Internal Notes pane, click fa-times on the pane or select a different option from the menu on the obligation details pane.
