Review documents

When reviewing a tender document, depending on your permissions, you can either edit the document and add notes at the same time, or add only notes to the document.

Edit a document and add notes

Note You cannot edit a document when it has been reserved for editing by another AVEVA Contract Risk Management user. If a review document has been reserved for editing, information in the Reserved By and the Reserved From Date columns detail the user that reserved the document and the date the document was reserved. If you need to contact the user, click the user's name hyperlink to display a pop-up window containing their contact information.

To review a document when you have permission to edit the document and add notes:

  1. Navigate to the File Review page. See Access tender document reviews for more information.

  2. In the Start Review section, click Start My Review.

    A warning message is displayed.

  3. Click OK.

    A confirmation message is displayed.

  4. In the Files to Review section, click the hyperlink for the document you want to review.

    A message is displayed asking how you would like to open the document.

  5. Select Edit.

    The document is opened in a new window.

    Tip You can download a list of the documents by clicking fa-download Export. You can also email all the review documents to yourself by clicking Email Attached Files.

    Note You cannot complete your review while you have a document reserved for editing. When you have completed your edit, ensure you have saved your changes and checked the document back in.

    • Documents displaying the icon are not reserved for editing

    • Documents displaying the icon are reserved for editing by you

    • Documents displaying the icon are reserved for editing by another user

Add only notes

To review documents when you only have permission to add a note:

  1. Navigate to the File Review page. See Access tender document reviews for more information.

  2. In the Start Review section, click Start My Review.

    A warning message is displayed.

  3. Click OK.

    A confirmation message is displayed.

  4. In the Files to Review section, click the hyperlink for the review document to open or save it locally.

    Note When the Add Notes Only option is enabled, the document is opened as read only and some of the edit icons are not displayed.
