Update progress measures

A progress measure's details cannot be updated manually if the progress measure is In Use - in other words, the line item is in use in a communication. Progress measures can be manually updated, or they can be updated in bulk by importing a Contract Setup spreadsheet.

Only the Title, Group (if relevant), Weighting and Budget can be updated if the progress measure is not in use.

If the progress measure is in use, the Budget can be updated through a change communication - see Commitment change line items.

Users with the following contract roles can update progress measures:

  • Contract Owner

  • Contract Administrator

  • Company Representative

Manually update progress measure details

  1. If necessary, expand the list of line items for the parent breakdown item on the Contract Breakdown tab of the contract.

  2. Expand the list of progress measures for the parent line item.

  3. Click the fa-sort-down drop-down arrow for the progress measure, and select Edit Progress Measure from the menu.

    The Edit Progress Measure dialog box is displayed.

  4. Edit the information as required in the relevant fields.

    Note Fields marked with an asterisk fa-asterisk are required.

    Title

    All progress measures

    The name of the progress measure.

    To assist with consistency and reporting. as you type, the titles of other progress measures in the contract which match the text are listed. Select one of these if desired, or continue to type a new title.

    Group

    Discrete Pro Rata progress measures only

    If required, the name of the progress measure group that this progress measure will belong to, to be used when linking discrete pro rata progress measures to apportioned progress measures.

    Start to type the group name in the field. A list of groups that match the text you have entered is displayed; select the required group.

    Alternatively, create a new group by typing its name. This cannot be the same as another progress measure group in the contract.

    You can remove the progress measure from the group by clearing the value from this field.

    Weighting %

    All progress measures

    The weighting value of the progress measure, as a percentage of the total line item commitment.

    Budget

    Discrete Pro Rata progress measures only

    The budget of the progress measure; how much work is represented by the progress measure.

  5. Click Save to update the progress measure.

    The Contract Breakdown tab is displayed with a confirmation message.

Update progress measures by importing a document

If you import a document which contains progress measures that have already been added to the contract, any progress measures for which values in the document have changed will be updated in the contract.
