Edit project/dept details

The core details of a project/dept can be edited and maintained to keep up with any extensions to the project/dept schedule or the project budget etc. More details can also be added to the project/dept properties during the edit. Only the Project administrator can edit the project/dept properties.

To edit a project/dept:

  1. Open the navigation bar. If necessary, click the Manage tab.

  2. From the Admin menu, select Project/Dept Maintenance.

    The Project/Dept Maintenance page is displayed.

  3. Click the icon for the project/dept you want to edit.

    The Edit Project/Dept page is displayed.

  4. Edit the project/dept details as required.

    Note The Reference field is not editable if tenders or contracts are associated with the project/dept.

  5. Edit the information as required in the relevant fields.

    Note Fields marked with an asterisk fa-asterisk are required.

    Field

    Description

    Reference

    The reference for the project/dept.

    This must be unique within the organization.

    Name

    The name of the project/dept.

    This must be unique within the organization.

    Country

    The country of operation for the project/dept.

    This is the default value for tenders/contracts created within this project/dept.

    Currency

    The default currency for the project/dept.

    This is the default value for tenders/contracts created within this project/dept.

    Project Budget

    The value of the project budget.

    Total AFE Cover

    The value of the Authorized For Expenditure cover in the default currency.

    Project Start Date

    Click the icon to enter the start date for the project.

    Target End Date

    Click the icon to enter the project's planned end date.

    Main Cost Code

    The main cost code for the project/dept.

    Project Manager

    Select any team member as the project/dept manager.

    Comments

    Any additional comments relating to the project/dept.

    Email Footer

    The text which will appear at the bottom of any emails sent from the project/dept.

    Note This overwrites any email footer text added at the Site Configuration or Business Unit Level.

    Set as my preferred Project/Dept

    Select to set the project/dept as preferred.

  6. Click Save.

    A confirmation message is displayed.
