Problem
On occasion, a user creating, editing or relocating a Project/Dept is presented with the following error message:
There is already another Project/Dept with these details, please be aware that it may have been moved to the Recycle Bin area. Either permanently delete the conflicting Project/Dept or re-submit using different values.
Cause
Each Project/Dept name must be unique. This message informs the user that another Project/Dept with the same name already exists. The conflicting project may be located in one of the following places:
-
If you are creating a new Project/Dept, check for a conflicting Project/Dept located in the Recycle Bin area.
-
If you are editing an existing Project/Dept, check for a conflicting Project/Dept located in the same Business unit.
-
If you are moving a Project/Dept, check for a conflicting Project/Dept in the destination Business Unit.
Solution
To resolve this problem:
-
If a conflicting Project/Dept exists in the Recycle Bin area either, permanently delete the Project/Dept in the Recycle Bin or change the details of the new Project/Dept.
-
If a conflicting Project/Dept is located in the same Business Unit, change the details of the Project/Dept that is currently open for editing.
-
If you are moving a Project/Dept and a conflicting Project/Dept already exists in the destination Business Unit, edit the details of the Project/Dept that you are moving.
