Add progress measures

You can add progress measures to a line item using the following methods:

• manually (described below)

• Import contract setup data

The type and method of progress measure which can be added to a contract line item depend on the line item type.

Users with the following contract roles can add progress measures to contract line items:

• Contract Owner

• Contract Administrator

• Company Representative

To add a progress measure to a contract line item:

1. If necessary, expand the list of line items for the parent breakdown item on the Contract Breakdown tab of the contract.

2. Click the drop-down arrow for the line item, and select Create Progress Measure.

   Note This option is only displayed if the line item has been configured to record progress. See Contract line items.

   The Create Progress Measure dialog box is displayed.

3. Enter information as required in the relevant fields.

   Note Fields marked with an asterisk are required.

   Field	Displayed for	Description
   Type	All progress measures	Select the type of progress measure: Discrete Apportioned
   Method	Discrete progress measures only	The method of progress measure: Weighted Milestone Pro Rata
   Title	All progress measures	The name of the progress measure. To assist with consistency and reporting. as you type, the titles of other progress measures in the contract which match the text are listed. Select one of these if desired, or continue to type a new title.
   Group	Discrete Pro Rata progress measures only	If required, the name of the progress measure group that this progress measure will belong to, to be used when linking discrete pro rata progress measures to apportioned progress measures. Start to type the group name in the field. A list of groups that match the text you have entered is displayed; select the required group. Alternatively, create a new group by typing its name. This cannot be the same as another progress measure group in the contract.
   Weighting %	All progress measures	The weighting value of the progress measure, as a percentage of the total line item commitment.
   Budget	Discrete Pro Rata progress measures only	The budget of the progress measure; how much work is represented by the progress measure.

4. Click Save and Continue to add the progress measure and clear the fields so you can add another one.

   Alternatively, click Save and Close to add the progress measure and close the dialog box.

   The Contract Breakdown tab is refreshed.
