Why do some fields have red borders when I'm entering data?

Some AVEVA Contract Risk Management pages support on-screen validation - in other words, if the data you are entering is invalid, this is shown on screen before you save.

If a field has invalid data, its border becomes red, as shown in the following illustration.

Blank mandatory fields will be shown as invalid if data has been entered and then deleted. They will not be shown as invalid when the page is first displayed.

Why are time zones displayed in contract and communication date and times in AVEVA Contract Risk Management?

Time zones are specified in AVEVA Contract Risk Management to ensure that the due date and time of time-critical tasks such as reviews and obligations are correctly calculated and displayed for users.

Each user must set their time zone to be the time zone of the computer they are logged in from - see Manage your user preferences.

When a contract is created, its dates and times are set in the user's time zone rather than the time zone set for the contract.

Examples

If a contract has a time zone of UTC+8 but a user has a time zone of GMT (UTC), contract dates and times will be shown as UTC with the time zone difference applied. Times will be shown as UTC+1 if they are on dates when daylight savings applies.

In the following illustration, the contract dates set on creation were in UTC+8 but the user viewing them has a time zone of UTC.

This also applies for communication dates such as the Originated On date.

How do I use the Rich Text Editor?

Are there any limitations when exporting a report to Microsoft Excel?

If you wish to export your reports to Microsoft Excel, it is recommended that you use the Grid version of the report (if available).

There is an export limit of 65,536 rows. If your report contains more rows than this limit, you can export the report to CSV instead of Microsoft Excel (select CSV from the Select a format menu in the reports window) and open the resulting CSV file in Microsoft Excel.

When printing a report from Microsoft Excel, you may wish to check the preview for the page formatting; some reports will print across multiple pages.

How are currency rate conversations calculated for AVEVA Contract Risk Management Analytics data?

AVEVA Contract Risk Management Analytics data has a base currency which is set at installation which can be different from the Organization base currency of the AVEVA Contract Risk Management system set by the Administrator. By default, the Analytics currency rate is US Dollars (USD).

When financial values are included in Analytics data, for example in dashboard widgets, if they are shown in the base currency of the data, the value is calculated using the currency rates specified at Organization level (see Organization currency rates).

Analytics fields which are in the base currency of the data generally have 'Base' suffixed to their name. See Data models and fields for details of which Analytics fields are in the base currency of the data.

Example

A contract has a InitialNotToExceed value of 30,000 GBP. The Organization base currency is EUR and the Analytics base currency is USD.

The Organization currency rates are:

1 EUR = 0.87 GBP

1 EUR = 1.08 USD

The contract's InitialNotToExceedBase value in the Analytics base currency of USD = (30000 / 0.87) * 1.08 = 37,241 USD
