Tender product codes

Product codes are a set of industry-recognized reference codes that identify goods or services. Adding product codes to a tender identifies the goods or services that are required to meet the needs of the contract. Adding product codes to a tender is useful for both reporting and identifying suitable contractors.

Only Tender Administrators can add and manage a tender's product codes.

Add product codes to a tender

1. Navigate to the home page of the tender.

2. Click and select Tender Details from the menu.

   The Tender Details page is displayed.

3. Click Add Product Codes.

   The Add Product Codes page is displayed.

4. Enter values as required for the relevant search criteria.

   Option	Description
   Search On	Select whether to search on Description or Code.
   Criteria	This option refers to the text you enter in the Search For field. Select whether you want the search to return results which Begins With, Contains or Ends With the text you enter in the Search For field.
   Search For	Enter the text you want to search on. Tip Enter the % character to perform a wildcard search, e.g. % by itself to return all results or man% to return all results beginning with man.

5. Click Search.

   All product codes that match your search criteria are displayed.

   Alternatively, click All Internal to list all internal product codes in the database.

6. Select the product codes you want to add

7. Click Add.

   The Add Product Code window closes and the selected product code details are displayed in the Add Product Codes section.

Remove tender product codes

8. Navigate to the home page of the tender.

9. Click and select Tender Details from the menu.

   The Tender Details page is displayed.

10. Click the + icon to expand the Product Codes section.

11. Click the icon for the product code you want to remove.

    A warning message is displayed.

12. Click OK.

    A confirmation message is displayed.
