Edit the custom field values of a communication

The values of communication custom fields can be edited if the communication is still in Draft or the contract is configured for Contractor to Communicate via Other Means.
If the contract is configured for Contractor to Communication via Contractor Portal and the communication is no longer in Draft (i.e. has been sent/published), only custom fields which have been configured in the communication template as Always Editable can be edited.
Users with the following contract roles can edit communication custom field values:

Contract Owner
-
Contract Administrator
-
Company Representative
To edit custom field values for a communication:

On the communication register, click the Title of the communication you want to edit the custom fields of.
The Communication Details page is displayed.

In the Custom Fields section, click the
drop-down arrow for the communication, and select
Edit Communication Custom Fields from the menu. If there are no custom fields which can be edited, this option is
unavailable.
The Edit Communication Custom Fields page is displayed, with the details of the communication shown as read-only on the right-hand side.

Update the values of the custom fields.
Note Custom fields which cannot be edited are shown as read-only.

Click Save to save the changes.
