View process chains

To view a list of a communication's process chains:

On the communication register, click the Title of the communication to open the communication details.
The Process Chain section displays all the communications in the process chain to which the current communication belongs. The current communication is shown in yellow.
The details shown for each communication are:

Reference
-
Revision number (only if revisions exist for the communication)
-
State
-
Financial Impact (including the currency code)
-
Reporting Category
The star and number, e.g. (1), indicate that the communication belongs to one other process chain in addition to the chain currently displayed on screen. This additional process chain may include any rejected versions of communications in the chain that is currently displayed.

Click the arrow between communications to open the Link Detail window. This displays the following information for both the predecessor and successor communications:

Reference
-
Originated Date
-
State
-
Schedule Impact (Days)
-
Financial Impact in Communication Currency
-
Reporting Category
-

Click a communication to open the Linked Communication window. This displays the following information:

Title - this is a link to the communication details
-
Reference
-
Originated Date
-
State
-
Financial Impact in Communication Currency
-
Reporting Category
-

You can manipulate the display of the process chain by:
-
dragging the communications
-
using the arrow buttons to move the display
-
zooming in and out using the - and + buttons
-
moving the communication for which you are viewing the Details page to the center of the display by clicking
-
You can also view a list of a communication's successor communications in the Financially Associated With column of the communication register (if the view displays it). Click the title of a communication to open its Details page.
Print process chains
You can print the process chain, for example, so that you can identify any communications missing from it.
To print a view of the process chain:

On the communication register, click the Title of the communication to open the Communication Details.
The Process Chain section displays the communications in the process chain to which the communication belongs.

Click the
drop-down arrow on the Process Chain heading and select Print Preview from the menu.
The Print Process Chains window is displayed, showing the process chain diagram and a list of the communications in the process chain, with additional information about each communication.

When you are ready to print the view, click Print.
