Setup exceptions

A setup exception for the contract or for a specific breakdown item, line item or Apportioned progress measure indicates that there is a possible problem with the item which may need to be resolved before any communications are created which use the item.
On the Contract Breakdown tab, an exception is indicated by red text and a pink background for an item. Click the item to see the details.
The number of Setup Exceptions is displayed at the bottom of the page as an icon. Click it to filter the list of items.

The possible setup exceptions and their resolutions are listed in the following table.
Note: Exceptions which refer to breakdown items are only shown if the contract is configured with one or more breakdown items.

Ensure that all line items have been added to the contract with the correct initial commitment value:

Create new line items for the breakdown item or link existing line items to the breakdown item: |

The line item has no associated breakdown item. |
Edit the line item to select a breakdown item or link the line item to the breakdown item: |

Reimbursable line item |
The Reimbursable line item has no associated rates. |
Add rates to the contract if necessary and link rates to the line item: |

Line item which measures progress |
The line item has no progress measures. |
Create new progress measures for the line item: Add progress measures |

Line item which measures progress |
The line item has an invalid total weighting. |
The weighting of the progress measures for the line item do not add up to either 0% or 100% (depending on the type of line item.) Create new progress measures for the line item or edit the weighting of its existing progress measures: |

Apportioned progress measure |
The Apportioned progress measure has no associated Discrete Pro Rata progress measures. |
