Best Practice Libraries are available for the Organization and for all business units and project/depts. They are used to control the authority under which each contract stakeholder can make business decisions and/or transactions on behalf of the company.
To complement the Best Practice Libraries, tenders have a Stage Gate Configuration page and contracts have a Configuration page, in which the best practice standards created elsewhere in the AVEVA Contract Risk Management hierarchy can be specifically tailored for that tender or contract.
The following configurations are managed in the Best Practice Libraries and Contract/Stage Gate Configuration:
-
Communication templates (not tenders)
-
Custom field templates for communications (not tenders or contracts)
-
Contract roles (not tenders)
-
Currency rates (Organization and contract only)
-
Contract dates (contracts only)
-
Call off restrictions (Organization Framework Agreements only)
-
Rates (contracts only)
-
Progress measure groups (contracts only)
These configurations can be mapped to a company's Manual of Authorities, Financial Authorities Manual, or other similar Best Practice standards.
Best Practice Libraries follow the standard AVEVA Contract Risk Management hierarchy (shown in the following illustration). Configurations created for example at Organization-level are available at lower levels in the hierarchy once they have been published at the level where they were created. For example, business process roles created in the Organization Best Practice Library are visible and can be used in business units, project/depts, tenders and contracts.
