Folders

The section contains information on managing folders in the reference library.

This information also applies to folders in the project/dept libraries. See Project/Dept library.

Create a folder

  1. Navigate to the library and click the Add folder icon.

    The Add Folder page is displayed.

  2. Enter the new folder Name.

  3. Enter a description or notes about the new folder in the Description field.

  4. Click Save.

    The new folder appears in the folder tree.

Edit the details of a folder

  1. Navigate to the library and open the folder whose contents you want to edit.

    The folder contents are listed in the Folder panel.

  2. Click the Edit folder icon.

    The Edit Folder page is displayed.

  3. Edit the Name and Description fields as required.

  4. Click Save.

    A confirmation message is displayed.

    Delete folders

    Note Only empty folders can be deleted.

    1. Navigate to the library and open the folder whose contents you want to delete.

      The folder contents are listed in the Folder panel.

    2. Click the Delete folder icon.

      The name and description of the selected folder are displayed.

    3. Click Delete.

      A confirmation message is displayed.

      Move a folder

      Folders can be moved within the library folder hierarchy using drag and drop.

      1. Navigate to the library.

      2. In the folder tree, click the icon for the required folder and drag it to the destination folder.
