Having a tender schedule in place helps to ensure that the tendering process is completed on time and does not force the contract start date back. Tender schedule items are a list of scheduled tasks that refer to the different aspects of the tendering process. The schedule items are created through company standard best practice tender templates. See Tender templates for more information.
Schedule items can be set up to manage tender documentation, advertise work, invite tender bids, review submissions, track the status of contractor responses, compile a shortlist of contractors and award the contract to the successful contractor. When the tender has been awarded, a contract is created, beginning the post award process. Stage gates can also be added to the tender schedule to facilitate decision making in the tendering process.
Each schedule item has a homepage, and common features such as starting and completing the schedule item and adding notes. See Schedule items overview for full details.
