Communication reviews

There are two types of communication review in AVEVA Contract Risk Management:
-
Best practice - generated by the communication's routing workflow as determined by the communication template.
-
Ad hoc - manually created by a user.
Both types of review are accessed and performed in the same way.
The group of reviewers for a communication review is comprised of one or more business process roles, contract roles, and company users who are responsible for contributing to the review. Before a final decision is made for the review, all reviewers can contribute notes, attachments and their review decision. This means that a single review can contain contributions from many AVEVA Contract Risk Management users, which can be easily viewed for assistance in making a final decision about the communication.
Review administrator
For best practice reviews created by a workflow which is started automatically (e.g. for a Contractor to Company communication, the review administrator is always the Contract Owner. Otherwise, the review administrator is initially the user who started the workflow or created the ad hoc review. The review administrator can be changed if necessary. See Change the review administrator.
Required reviewers
When a best practice review is set up for the communication template or an ad hoc review is created, you can specify which, if any, reviewers are required. The review cannot be completed unless all required reviewers have contributed their review decision. See Perform a communication review for further details.
Notifications
When a review is created, by either a workflow or a user, a notification email is sent to all reviewers.
Note The notification emails sent to reviewers can be disabled for best practice reviews in the workflow template.
Review notification emails include the details of the review, such as its due date and any guidelines for its completion. They also contain a link to the review, which opens the relevant AVEVA Contract Risk Management page.
The review administrator can also optionally be notified when contributions are made to the review and when the final decision is made. This option is configured when the review is created and can be changed at any time. See Review notification options.
Review attachments
If a review has attached documents which are Confidential, the reviewer can only see these if one of the following is true:
-
They have the appropriate permission for the communication.
-
The review has the Assign Confidentiality Permission to Reviewers option enabled.
